PROJECT: Two Living Rooms - one downstairs and one upstairs

It was a brand-new home for Amanda and her partner. While most of the house was bare, the new home included a furniture package which had been used to style the home for sale. This included a coffee table, two armchairs and a sofa. They wanted to utilise these pieces in one of the two living rooms.

Amanda wanted suggestions and recommendations for artwork, an upstairs chaise, two tv units, coffee table, artworks, cushion, bench stools… plus layout and styling.  She wasn’t sure of both spaces should have matching styles. Amanda and her partner were interested in incorporating Country Rustic, Modern and Boho styles their new design. They wanted both spaces to be stylish, inviting, comfy and functional - a place to watch movies, listen to vinyls, play guitar and relax with friends. She and her partner had a budget of $4,500 to $6,500 for furniture and decor.

I linked the two spaces by having one of the two armchairs in each space. The tones in the suggested artwork were similar also.  A smaller coffee table was suggested downstairs to create more space. In the end, they received a comprehensive Design Plan Package they loved. This, and the suggestions along the way, gave them two stylish, functional and comfy living areas in their new home… one they couldn’t wait to share with visiting friends and family.

“My partner and I recently purchased a house that had some specific requirements that needed to be considered when furnishing. We had no idea what to do (and no creative bones!) so we enlisted Anica for online interior design/styling.

She was extremely helpful, creative and offered a number of clever solutions to our requirements – even when we changed our minds a few times, Anica was very patient and kept digging to find the perfect solution.

I would absolutely recommend her design services to anyone!”
